Don´t reel the fish in too much, leave him with at least 30 meters of line. Try not to get the fish too tired too early, thus adjust your break so that it´s at around 5kg/10 pounds if you want to get dragged quicker or less if you want to slow down You can also give the fish some line by putting the break on the first position. You can break and throttle by adjusting the break of your reel. After catching a couple of furry trout and antlered salmon I would say that the latter works better and it looks funny having a reindeer antlered fish pulling your kayak. If you are not reeling you can even zoom in to get a better view. You can get a glimpse sometimes when they change direction and jump out of the water. Try to get a feeling on how big the fish is or even what kind of fish it is. On the bright side I now got the achievement where you have to get pulled with the kayak by any fish 10000 meters up to about 8500 meters and fishing from the kayak contributed to a lot of other achievements. It took a couple of tries to figure out how to steer the kayak with a fish on the line, how to break and throttle, but those were some fun rides. I got my achievement and kayak with a 14 pounder. Maybe that would be a possible way to get some fireworks ) Check the news section here on steam for that.
If you would have loged in to FP and read through the popups you would have known how to get firework and how the challenges work: įYI there is also an event ongoing where you can write a funny story and a wishlist to santa (FP-Team Olga). Some are hidden and that´s part of the fun. I was there for not even a day and I got three or four different event achievements and a couple of kayay ones since I didn´t start them beforehand. Just go to Alberta and wait for someone to start fireworks or ask your friends (or even other players right on the waterways or here). There were lots of events in the past where you could get firework.īy the way even if you had fireworks the achievement would be impossible for you since someone else has to start the fireworks while your bait/lure is in the water :P You will get fireworks from the christmas presents I guess. I got to 150 meters within an hour and the event salmon are not even unlocked yet.
